Setting Up and Using Virtual Accounts

Written by Emy Huang

I. Feature Overview

To help you handle fiat collections and payments more easily, Infini offers the Virtual Accounts (VA) feature. Whether you need to receive payments from overseas customers, pay suppliers, or move funds across borders for personal use, a Virtual Account gives you a collection-and-payment solution that integrates closely with your Infini account. It supports fiat deposits and withdrawals in U.S. dollars (USD), euros (EUR), and British pounds (GBP).

Three partner banks are currently live — Lead Bank (USD), Banking Circle (EUR / GBP), and Singapore Gulf Bank (USD), cover major payment networks including ACH, Wire, SEPA, CHAPS, FPS, and SWIFT. Once funds arrive, they are converted to stablecoins (USDC / USDT) and credited to your Infini balance.

II. Pain Points Addressed

Traditional cross-border transfers are slow and cumbersome. Sending money across borders through traditional banks usually involves multiple intermediary steps, with long settlement times and limited transparency — far from what businesses and individuals need for efficient cash flow.

Collection and payment channels are fragmented, with opaque fees. Using different banks or third-party platforms scatters your account information across systems, and complex, unclear fee structures make reconciliation and cost accounting difficult.

No account that clearly belongs to you. Customers want dedicated account details of their own — ones they can share publicly to receive funds, with money that stays controllable and traceable, controllable money — rather than relying on manual matching or intermediary accounts.

No smooth bridge between fiat and stablecoins. Customers need a stable channel that automatically converts fiat to stablecoins on deposit and back to fiat on withdrawal, so on-chain and off-chain funds can be managed together.

III. Key Highlights

Multiple banks and currencies for a wide range of collection and payment scenarios. Choose from Lead Bank (USD), Banking Circle (EUR / GBP), and Singapore Gulf Bank (USD), with support for ACH, Wire, SEPA, CHAPS, FPS, SWIFT, and more — covering different regions and currencies.

Dedicated payment account with automatic crediting. Open with Lead Bank or Banking Circle and you receive a dedicated payment account number (for U.S. accounts, an Account Number + Routing Number; for European accounts, an IBAN). Transfers to that account are credited automatically — no reference number required, and the amount does not need to match an order exactly.

No monthly fees, no maintenance fees, or other hidden charges. All Virtual Accounts have no monthly fee, no maintenance fee, and no other hidden charges. Opening fees and transaction fees are priced openly at the underlying bank's cost, so they are clear and predictable.

Automatic fiat–stablecoin conversion. Fiat deposits are immediately converted to stablecoins and credited to your Infini balance; withdrawals are deducted from that balance — letting you manage on-chain and off-chain funds in one place.

IV. Step-by-Step Guide

1、Identity Verification

Opening a Virtual Account is essentially a compliance review. You first need to complete KYC (individual) or KYB (business) verification, then submit an Open Virtual Accounts application and pass the review before the account appears on your list.

Fill in the application form

KYB:

  • Company information: Describe your business model in English (products/services offered, main customers, and revenue model), and provide your expected annual revenue, industry type, company type, main country/region of operation, whether you hold any license or registration, company email, company phone (in E.164 format, e.g., +16505550123), date of incorporation, tax identification number (such as EIN, VAT, or local equivalent), and official company website.

  • Planned activity: Select the account's expected monthly transaction volume, expected monthly number of transactions, and primary intended use, so we can assess your expected usage.

  • Source of funds: Select your company's main source of funds and describe, in English, the funds supporting your business operations and account activity.

Fields such as the business model description, tax identification number, and source-of-funds description must be completed in English. The main country/region list automatically excludes unsupported countries/regions.

KYC:

If you are not ready to submit, you can save a draft.

After you submit, the compliance team completes the review within 1–3 business days. Individual (KYC) reviews are usually faster; business (KYB) reviews take a bit longer because of the bank-side check. There are three possible outcomes:

  • Approved: Your bank account details appear automatically in your account list, and you can deposit and withdraw. Your daily limit is raised to 5,000,000 USD at the same time.

  • Rejected: The reason is explained, and any pre-deducted opening fee is fully refunded to your account.

  • More documents needed: The specific files required and the reasons are listed. Please complete them within 7 days; otherwise, the application closes automatically and the opening fee is refunded, and you can reapply. Already-approved documents do not need to be re-uploaded.

2、Select a Bank

Once your Virtual Account application is approved, you can choose a bank and click Open a Virtual Account to apply.

The page shows four bank cards, each presenting supported networks, supported currencies, opening fee, other fees, account capabilities, and processing time in a unified panel. Review the networks, currencies, fees, and settlement times before selecting one bank.

Each payment account you open is charged its own one-time opening fee (except SGB, which is free), because the underlying bank charges per account.

Suggestions for choosing a bank:

  • To collect and pay in USD using local networks such as ACH and Wire for fast settlement, choose Lead Bank.

  • To collect and pay in EUR with real-time or near-real-time SEPA settlement, choose Banking Circle (EUR).

  • To collect and pay in GBP with real-time FPS or same-day CHAPS settlement, choose Banking Circle (GBP).

  • To collect and pay in USD using own-name accounts only, with no opening fee, choose Singapore Gulf Bank (SGB).

Important: SGB only accepts transfers in or out from a bank account held under the same entity name as your Infini account. It does not support third-party payments, and transfers from third-party accounts will be rejected. If you need to collect funds from customers, suppliers, or other third parties, choose Lead Bank or Banking Circle.

3、Confirm the Bank and Pay the Opening Fee

If you choose Lead Bank or Banking Circle, clicking Open a Virtual Account brings up the Complete payment window. You can pay in USDC or USDT, and the window shows the opening fee (KYC 25 USD / KYB 50 USD), the estimated stablecoin amount to be deducted, and the current exchange rate. Confirm the details and click Confirm and Pay to submit.

If your balance is not enough to cover the opening fee, you cannot submit the application — please top up first.

If you choose SGB, no opening fee is charged; clicking Submit Application sends it straight to the review queue. Once approved, the SGB bank card shows Active.

V. Restricted Countries / Regions

For compliance and risk-control reasons, VA services are restricted for users in certain countries/regions. If your KYC/KYB verification region is on a list below, or if you are identified as being located in one of these countries/regions while using the service, the relevant collection and payment features will be restricted. Restriction lists differ slightly by partner bank (channel). We are continuously expanding supported regions, and these lists may change as our compliance policies are updated.

VI. Tips & Tricks

Choose the right bank. Check each card's supported networks, currencies, fees, and settlement times first, then pick the bank that fits your actual collection and payment needs — so you don't find a network or currency mismatch after opening.

Use the SGB reference number. When depositing via SGB own-name transfer, always include the system-assigned Reference in the transfer memo. It noticeably speeds up crediting and avoids delays from manual matching.

Prepare compliance materials in advance. Before applying, have your real business-case proofs (contracts, invoices, delivery records, etc.) and an operating-address proof from the last 6 months ready. This shortens the review and reduces the chance of being asked to resubmit.

Plan opening fees sensibly. Each bank account carries its own one-time opening fee (SGB is free). Open accounts according to your actual multi-currency needs to avoid unnecessary costs.

VII. FAQ

Q: Can I open accounts at multiple banks at the same time?

A: Yes. After your first account is open, go to the Virtual Account application page and click the payment account you want to apply for to open another. Each account carries a one-time opening fee (SGB is free).

Q: How long until I get a result after applying?

A: The compliance team completes the review within 1–3 business days. Individual (KYC) reviews are usually faster; business (KYB) reviews take a bit longer. If more documents are needed, you'll be notified by email. Once approved, your account details appear automatically in your dashboard.

Q: How much is the opening fee?

A: Individual (KYC) 25 USD, business (KYB) 50 USD — charged only by Lead Bank and Banking Circle; SGB is free. The fee is pre-deducted on submission and fully refunded if the application is rejected.

Q: Why can't I use fiat deposit and withdrawal services?

A: A: If your KYC or KYB region is a restricted region, services from Lead Bank and Banking Circle are currently unavailable to you. We are continuously expanding our coverage—please contact customer support if you need an alternative solution.

Q: How are transaction fees calculated?

A: For Lead Bank and Banking Circle, SWIFT is 35 USD/transaction (charged on both deposits and withdrawals), and local networks (ACH, Wire, SEPA, CHAPS, FPS) are a flat 3 USD/transaction. For SGB, deposits are free and withdrawals are 50 USD/transaction.

Q: What does "no third-party payments" mean for SGB?

A: SGB only accepts transfers in or out from a bank account held under the same entity name as your Infini account; transfers from third-party accounts will be rejected. If you need to collect third-party funds, choose Lead Bank or Banking Circle.

Q: Why does clicking "To Bank" during withdrawal redirect me to the setup page?

A: Withdrawals require a bank account. If you haven't set one up, the system first guides you through the Open Virtual Account process; once approved, you can withdraw normally.

Q: In what form are funds held after they arrive?

A: Infini does not hold fiat such as USD in its original currency. Fiat deposits are immediately converted to stablecoins (USDC / USDT) and credited to your Infini balance; on withdrawal, the amount is deducted from your balance and converted back to fiat.
